Of course, this is not everyday Cambridge for everyone. For these boys it is their everyday dress, but they are the exception in the modern world. I wonder how they feel – privileged or a bit odd? Who knows.
And these adults it is graduation day. Although it is also true to say that a generation ago, students walked and bicycled about town wearing their gowns. Town and Gown meant something more obvious then.

It makes you wonder what sort of bubble those boys live in. I would be so embarrassed to walk around like that.
