Before one of my self-hosted sites got hacked a couple of years ago, I had this that I did in 2009.

The Leica Song
Oh Lord, won’t you buy me a Leica M9 ?
I’m done shooting Nikons, I want to shoot prime.
It’s full-frame or nothing, and a big LCD,
And manual focus, please explain that to me.
Oh Lord, how I wanted a Leica M8,
But now I am grateful that you made me wait.
Worked hard all my lifetime, to get what is mine,
Oh Lord, won’t you buy me a Leica M9.
Oh Lord, do this one thing, this one thing for me,
And Lord I’ll review it – I’ll do it for free.

Did you at least get that M9?

Ah ’tis sad to relate, but no.
I got a Fuji X100s 🙂

I’ve no idea if that’s better or not 😀 I do compact cameras, I’m afraid. Just something to take nice vacation snapshots. Though I certainly wouldn’t mind a DSLR, even if only very basic.

Having spent the last four weeks wandering around Edinburgh among a million and a half tourists here for the Edinburgh Festivals, I have learned a lot about what cameras people have. I am going to blog about it, because it is not what I expected. Watch this space 😉
