Finger Painting With Inkflow

Inkflow is available free for the iPhone and iPad.

The premium version – Inkflow Plus – has a few more tools.

Inkflow is advertised as a way to make visual notes quickly, but I’ve been using it as a way to paint with my finger on my iPhone.

Here’s a painting I made. I did it from scratch, copying the figure of Madam Butterfly in a poster we have on the wall.

The working area on an iPhone is pretty small of course, but you can pinch the screen open to work within a smaller area of the painting.

  1. Hi David,
You can finger paint and I can’t. Boo hoo 😦 Why oh why are these only available to iPhone and iPad users? Why can’t desktop users have them too? I am green with envy because as you know I love painting. And now that I got that off my chest – thanks for sharing. 😉

    1. Why are the only available for iMachines… Well, let me see… 😉

You got me thinking though. I see that Sketchbook Pro from Autodesk is available for desktop – use with a Wacom tablet or similar… 🙂

Did you do this with your finger or a stylus?

    1. Brilliant. It could be your logo. It’s great.

I paint with my finger – don’t have a stylus. Do you? I was looking at styluses and couldn’t decide which … and then my mind wandered elsewhere, as it does.. 😉

      1. I got a stylus along with something else that I bought — the cover for hubby’s Samsung tablet, I believe it was. The outline was made with my finger, the eyes with the stylus. Thank you, about the owl! 🙂 Now that I’m getting the hang of it, I’ll try again..
