I’ve been using Scoop for a few days to curate articles on colony collapse disorder among honeybees.
I use the word curate advisedly. I think that the idea of curation has taken on a new relevance now that we have so much information available on the web.
In the days of print, getting your words published meant going through a whole host of people who would criticise and judge the content before it was published.
Now, all it takes is a web address and a keyboard.
So it takes a bit of discernment to separate out the wheat from the chaff. Thus, curation has taken on a new relevance.
I don’t say that my curation of these articles on colony collapse disorder among honeybees is any great shakes. It may not stand up to too much scrutiny – but it is an attempt at pulling together some reasonable content on the subject..
The Scoop is here.
