  1. The word “peculiar” comes to mind.

    1. I was in two minds about whether to publish this.

I regretted the idea that I was taking the mickey out of this man who seemed to be making a serious statement of the blindingly obvious.

But I think it best to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume it must be tongue in cheek and could surely not be intended to be serious or profound, don’t you think?

  2. I don’t know, David. My husband just played me 10 really bad songs in a row, because he wanted me to hear how bad they were.

And, they were really, really bad. The worst I’ve ever heard. He even told me this, before he played them. He said “These are the worst songs I’ve ever heard.”

Yet, we listened to all of them. How peculiar.

My response, tho – after we wasted that time, was “That guy will probably make millions.”

Ho hum, the beat goes on, doesn’t it….

    1. My favourite lines are

I never felt more like singing the blues
Cause I never thought that I’d ever lose
      Your love babe
You’ve got me singing the blues.

      Sheer genius.

How was your husband playing the songs – on a record player, singing them to you?
