I have just written a short post on my photography site at Photograph Works about my adverse reaction to the shape of the capital ‘W’ in the Hypatia typeface.
I said it looks too militaristic to me and if I were to see a product advertised using it, I would be put off buying the product.
Take a look at the image there and perhaps you could comment and let me know what you think of the typeface.

On the contrary, I love the cap W in Hypatia. I used Hypatia recently in re-designing a logo for a local school, Walton Girls, and have also used the cap W on the cover design with a pic showing through the character. The end result was much admired by the customer and the face used throughout the brochure for text and subheads.
