World Hat Walk

I am guessing that someone(s) made a play on words with ‘catwalk’ when they came up with the name Hat Walk. It took place on Saturday 10th May and I had heard about it but expected it would be a few people posing.

There were hundreds of hat-bearing people there outside the Tate Modern in London, and a fair smattering of photographers.

I had my Fuji X100F with me, and it has a fixed 35mm lens. So any photos I took had to be close in or I would end up with a sea of indistinct faces.

Why didn’t I take my Canon with a 28-70 zoom? Ah well, next time next year.

And then I looked up the Hat Walk and found that it is an international event with outings from Bucharest to Buenos Aires, from Antwerp to Asaba.

Who knew?

And that is why I titled this piece, World Hat Walk.
