10 Megapixels

Nikon brought out the D60 digital SLR in 2008. It weighed 522g (18.4 oz) and it had a 10 megapixel sensor.

I took one to India when Tamara and I went in 2010.

For an unrelated reason I was looking at the India photos today and I can see how they don’t stack up against the quality of today’s digital cameras. But really the D60 was a tiny package and – well judge for yourself on these photos of villagers visiting the Taj Mahal in Agra. We were in the queue (line) and so were they – and I kept taking photo as we snaked along in a line into the mausoleum.

  1. ‘Lesser’ quality (or not) the colours of garments are fantastic against the subtlety of cool, grey stone…

    1. Thanks. The scene was a gift as you see!
