

Proteas are wonderful, aren’t they. Seeing a hillside covered with them is a sight that makes you think about this planet. They appear as something that would not be out of place in an episode of Star Trek,
Looking through photos I took in South Africa with the little Sony RX100 III makes me more glad than ever that I sold it and bought the Fujifilm X-E3. The Sony is limited by it’s one-inch sensor. It’s not terrible, and having a decent zoom range in a tiny package is beguiling. But the image quality is not what I want in a small camera.
This is the perennial lament of the photographer.
