You probably wouldn’t expect to see a political poster for the American election posted in the window of a house in England.

Maybe the occupier is American, or maybe just making a point.

Interesting that you use the term “occupier” David; ) but – as many of (a great majority of!) expats in the large city near me did not exercise their right in the last election – most likely someone trying to encourage other Americans to get out and vote!

  That’s my legal background coming out – as in ‘the current occupier of the property’. Yes, it could be someone encouraging other Americans. How did you get to learn that the expats in the city near you did not vote last time around? Are things different this time around, do you know?

    As so often happens 😉 heard it on CBC Radio One, a week or so ago. As to this time, not sure if we’ll hear about those numbers until the election’s over and the mail-in ballots are tallied.
