Owl Before And Owl After

owl-before-and-after

The ‘before’ image has its merits, but I wanted an image without the bars of the cage.

I ‘removed’ the bars using the Healing Brush tool in Photoshop. It took a while, but it wasn’t a huge task.

It was made easier because of the fairly repeatable pattern of the owl’s feathers, which meant there was usually somewhere to clone the bits I wanted.

    1. Haha. 🙂

On thing I have learned by ‘bitter’ experience is to go in at 100% after I think I have finished, and find the bits that look obvious and clone those out. I printed a couple of greeting card proofs before I learned to take that extra step.
