I decided to take up the saturated photo challenge this week.
The White stork has a colourful beak, but in close-up what gets me is the beauty of its eye.

Awesome!
I looked at your site at neverclipmywings. Nice photos… you have a sympathetic eye.
Thank you!
[…] Weekly Photo Challenge: Saturated White (photographworks.wordpress.com) […]
I love the strapline on your site “Marilyn Armstrong — Seeking Intelligent Life on Earth”
Truly Saturated color. You selected a wonderful model.
Birds have all the luck in the modelling department – almost of all of them are gorgeous, aren’t they 🙂
Yes, but I can’t get them to stay still. *laugh*
That is a beautiful bird, and you’re right … the eye is gorgeous!
Next time, I will choose birds for the challenge 🙂
Your gannet photo is a good choice 🙂
Thank you very much. 🙂
Love the textural contrast between the plumage and the beak.
Gorgeous birds, aren’t they.
Getting the shot was one of those occasions that called for a bit of balance work. I could only see the stork clearly if I was higher up, so I stood on top of a post that was about four feet tall. It was just big enough for one foot. So after trying to get up and failing a couple of times, I stood there with one foot parked on top of the other, swaying in the breeze and freaking out in case I fell and damaged the camera.
I like the color contrast as well as the texture. Nicely done.

love the reflection of the tress it the eye, quite amazing.
Hello stranger! Nice to see you back!
Lovely texture in that photo, so vibrantly white.
Thanks for linking up to Project 365.
Hi and thanks for the friendly wave. I’ll look in again.
I added the 365 widget to the footer here. I made my own version to keep to the deep gravelly-voiced masculine tone of this site 😉
Probably a dumb idea because no one will recognise it as 365.
