Try telling it that loading it with film is like stepping back into the Victorian era – all clacking wheels and fiddly threading of the film in the sprocket.
Try telling it that film takes an age to get to see the results – with the long drawn-out process of developing and printing.
It will only look back at you with its unblinking eye, waiting.
