Small Embassies In London

I never really thought about it before, but if you are a small country in a big world, the cost of maintaining embassies around the world must be a drain on national finances.

It’s not a problem for large countries, for those first rank players that years ago moved into parts of London where the real estate is now valued in the tens of millions if not more.

But it’s different for small countries.

And that’s where the pleasure of walking around London has led to these two embassies.

One is the embassy of Costa Rica at 23 Woodstock St, London W1C 2AS. The awning next to the door belongs to Chisou, a Sushi & Izakaya restaurant. You can just see a table and chair next to the potted plant.

Embassy of Costa Rica at Wandering around London I have come across a couple of embassies that are notable. One is the embassy of Costa Rica at 23 Woodstock St, London W1C 2AS.

The. next is the Embassy of Honduras at 136 Baker Street, 4th Floor W1U 6UD. And again this embassy is next to somewhere you can get food, in this case the Globe pub.

Unlike the embassy of Costa Rica, which is tucked down a small street, the Honduran embassy is very visible.

The address is Baker Street but this entrance is in fact on Marylebone Road, across the road from Baker Street Underground Station.

Marylebone Road is a major road, so the embassy is in the eye-line of the many people who cross from the station to walk down Baker Street.
