Fun On The Zebra Crossing

As I said before, the crossing on Abbey Road that featured on the Beatles’ album of that name, has a steady stream of visiting tourists.

When there are a lot of tourists there, they kind of overawe the traffic and you see troupes of people crossing while the traffic waits.

But when there are just a few tourists there the balance of power changes and the traffic seems a little bit more pushy and raring to go. And this woman picked up the mood, rushing to get to the pavement.

    I used to live in Cricklewood and would routinely drive past the Studio and see the tourists trying to cross it. The best sight I ever saw was the horses being taken down to Buckingham Palace in advance of Trooping the Colour.
