Chevrolet Corvette Convertible

Chevrolet Corvette Convertible

Spotted on a street in London, this Chevrolet Corvette Convertible. I masked one of the characters in the number plate for privacy.

Ot at least I think that is the model. If it turns out that it is not a Chevrolet Corvette Convertible then Google image search led me astray. It seems to be though.

I actually don’t take to the look of the car, a bit too growly for my taste. A model auctioned in 2019 sold for over £50,000, so what would I do if it were given to me? Auction it, probably. What about you?

Yes! Now that’s a Corvette!! The later models are horrid. But the original ones, the “classic” Corvette, ooh la la. The ‘fastback’ model, aptly called Stingray, indeed looks like a stingray. I’d love one, though I have no idea what it would feel like to drive one. Big old heavy all-steel cars, back in the day. I wonder if it had a V-8 engine. The early 60s, those are the models to celebrate. And this one has the steering wheel on the U.S. side! Clearly, Chevy did not make custom models for Britain.
