Chelsea Pensioner At The Chelsea Flower Show

The Chelsea Flower Show is held in the grounds of the Royal Hospital in Chelsea, and Chelsea Pensioners are about on show days.

Chelsea Pensioners are retired British Army soldiers who live at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, a retirement and nursing home for veterans in London, founded in 1682 by King Charles II.

I forgot to ask his name. He told us he saw active service with the Royal Hussars in Malaya and elsewhere. The R.H. on his cap stands for Royal Hospital and it is coincidental that they are the same initials as the regiment in which he served.
