The little speck on the white flower is a greenfly. The rendering ability of modern digital cameras is amazing and this is from a Ricoh GRIII – a 24MP camera with an APS-C sensor. When I zoom in on the screen I can see its long antennae and legs and its slim green body.
The flower is native to South Africa, and I remember people standing by the roadside there, selling bunches of Calla lilies they had picked from the undergrowth.
These, however, are from the garden here in London – growing under the shade of a tree.
