Senate House, Cambridge

Until today I thought this building was part of King’s College. But now I learn that it is the Senate House. It was formerly used for meetings of the senate of the University of Cambridge. Now it is used for graduation ceremonies.

I thought it was part of King’s College is that it is next to it. There is no road separating the two. Beyond the Senate House is a small street that leads down to the river. And beyond the street is Gonville and Caius College (see this post about Stephen Hawking). You can see more photos of Gonville and Caius College in that post.

‘Caius’ is pronounced ‘Keys’
