I thought I would give a bit more context to the Restore Nature Now march and especially the talk given by Sarah Fowler, Chief Executive at WWT, the charity for wetlands and wildlife.

The mission of WWT is to restore wetlands and unlock their powers as flood busting, water purifying, carbon storing, mood lifting ecosystems.
At the march, Sarah said that she and her colleagues and supporters and members (that includes Tamara and me) were standing up to demand that our politicians restore nature now.
She asked us to Imagine a world without frogs, kingfishers, or clean water—it’s unthinkable, yet this is the reality unfolding due to climate change and unsustainable development, 87 percent of UK wetlands have gone.
Globally, freshwater species have crashed by 73 percent.
Nature is in crisis, and inaction has rising costs: frequent flooding, overheated cities, and struggling farmers.
The message is simple for the sake of everyone: Restore Nature Now
