At The Bird Table

The pigeons are at the bird table again. They are so enthusiastic and hopeful. The bars prevent them plopping down onto the table and scoffing the lot, but they try every way to hang on and sweep a few seeds their way.

Do they get more energy from their efforts than they expend in getting the seeds? Who knows. Certainly they have got used to me and wait on the roof of the house or even the roof of the shed for me to finish filling the bird table.

  1. Our set-up has become well known to ‘the locals,’ yay! A cute article about their behavior.

    1. The behaviour is humorous. I know we would feel differently if they seemed to be starving – but their little plump bodies says otherwise.
