Thanks. This part of the country is normally pretty dry. It did rain heavily a couple of days ago, but my guess is that the water that flooded the River Ouse fell on high ground to the west and flowed down to us. Another spot right in the town fills up if there is sudden heavy rain locally, and it didn’t fill.
