The theme I am using now and that I have been using for quite a while now is named Glen. It is described as
a minimalist theme, designed for single-page websites. Its single post and page layouts have no header, navigation menus, or widgets, so the page you design in the WordPress editor is the same page you’ll see on the front end.
It is not a full site editing theme and it is on its way out. That is, WordPress has retired it. If I were to switch to another theme I would not be able to switch back to Glen. At least that is what I recall to be the case from a conversation with Support a while ago.
And?
Well, today I received a reminder that the State Of The Word talk by the founder of WordPress is coming up:
What: State of the Word 2023
When: December 11, 2023, 15:00 UTC (Start of live stream)
Where: Palacio Neptuno, Madrid, Spain
Streaming: Watch the live stream on the WordPress YouTube channel.
I went to the YouTube channel, looked around, and saw there is a video on using the command palette.
Going back to the theme I am using, the Command Palette only opens up if you are using a Block theme with full site editing.
Once I started watching I got itchy feet to change Photograph Works to a full site editing theme. The itch may remain unscratched for a while because I will probably forget the desire that created the itch. But for those who want to delve into the Command Palette, here is the link to the explainer video:
