If this is you, then note
This is what your standard reply says
If you’re unable to “like” a comment on your WordPress.com site, make sure that Comment Likes are enabled. To enable Comment Likes, go to the Sharing Buttons page and ensure that the “On for all posts” box is checked under the Comment Likes setting. If Comment Likes are already enabled and you’re still experiencing issues, try clearing your browser cache and cookies or using a different browser.
I clicked the Sharing Buttons page and it went to a dead page, (but see the update at the end of this post).
However with a bit more investigating I saw that there are two ways to get to comments.
One way is straight to ‘Comments’ from the admin sidebar
And the other is to go to My Home in the sidebar. Click on that and in the page that you then see is a list with the title Quick Links and if you click Manage Comments that leads to a different layout of comments – and that is where one can like a comment.
Update
Support came back and explained that the way to get to whether the Comment Likes feature is “On for all posts” is as follows:
- In the admin dashboard, Go to Tools – Marketing.
- Click on Sharing Buttons from the horizontal tab.
- Tick the box for “On for all posts” under Comment Likes and Save Changes
That still doesn’t deal with how to actually ‘like’ a comment, as I explained above.
