Bulldog

The Bulldog is a British breed of dog of mastiff type. It may also be known as the English Bulldog or British Bulldog. It is a medium-sized, muscular dog of around 40–55 lb. They have large heads with thick folds of skin around the face and shoulders, and a relatively flat face with a protruding lower jaw.

The bulldog stares with what appears to be displeasure at the world around it. Meanwhile the humans look out at what attracts their attention, with the two of them in one world and the dog in another.

Harnesses

Waist harnesses rather than collars have exploded onto the scene. Everyone and their dog has one. They are probably nicer for the dog but I wonder how they penetrated public consciousness? Was there a big advertising campaign that passed me by because we don’t have a dog?

  1. It’s more comfortable for the dog, I think. Prevents choking. Also, better control of the dog especially if hyperactive and tugs on leash all the time.

    1. Thanks for commenting, and I believe it. I am just surprised at how quickly the idea has been taken up by dog owners.
