The Magic Woods

Rupert was always on the edge of magic. He would leave home to go on an adventure, and meet the strangest of creatures. The deep wood was a hint or a sign that the magic and the strange were nearby. The trees would be all angles and crooked branches, and dark spiny little twigs.

Here is Rupert emerging from a wood on his way to a castle.

He was a brave little soul, and never put off by any challenge. Look at the strength and eagerness with which he pushes forward to his destination.

And here is a wood at Anglesey Abbey a few miles from Cambridge. It is a National Trust property with hundreds of trees as well as formal gardens. If Rupert were around he would be right at home in his adventures.
