Thumbs down on WordPress Reblogging (via onecoolsitebloggingtips)

Not sure how this reblogging works and this is a test.

Having reblogged this, I notice two things.

The first is that the link to the original website is a dofollow link. In other words, any pagerank that attaches to my site here at Light Reading can trickle through and benefit the linked site (in this case, OneCoolSiteBloggingTips. Of course I could add a rel-nofollow tag to the link, but how many people do that or think or want to do that when they reblog?

The second thing that I notice is that the reblog has copied 83 words of the original post and that this violates the copyright statement of OneCoolSiteBloggingTips which specifies that no more than 50 words may be taken and used for ‘fair use’ in another article that links back to the original.

So I am going to edit out the last 33 words and let’s see what we are left with….
