I had just said goodbye to a friend with whom I had been on a walk. And as I walked down towards the ponds near Laundress Green, I noticed how bright and yellow the leaves of the willows were.
So I walked down to the pond – must have taken me thirty seconds – propped my leg against the little guard rail, and took this photo. And even as I was composing it, the light disappeared.
The light was the last drop of light before the sun dipped below the horizon.
What a lovely, serene photo! A tonic in this often crazy world of ours.
That is such a pretty area here in the city, so thanks for capturing what you have.

Thanks. As you say, the more crazy the world becomes, the more we appreciate these breathing spaces.
