This is a view from the window on the landing outside the Wren Library at Trinity College, Cambridge. We visited the library during Open Cambridge, and it was rewarding to be able to see selected volumes laid out in glass cases. I remember there was an first folio of Shakespeare’s plays, a manuscript from Lord Byron, manuscripts of A A Milne’s Winnie The Poo, and others,.
The people in the punt at the bottom left of the window are immortalised in the frame, modern-day equivalents of figures in a stained glass window..
