I have never before used this site as a platform for a political point of view. But the times call for people to oppose the person who might become the Republican presidential candidate.
The link below is to a petition to the White House to prosecute Trump for inciting violence. It has 50,000+ signatures already since March 13 and it needs another 40,000+ by April 12. That number seems eminently doable if enough people are reached.
Legal precedent: Brandenburg v. Ohio, where the Court held that government cannot punish inflammatory speech unless that speech is directed to inciting, and is likely to incite, imminent lawless action, which the petition claims is exactly the case with Trump’s statements.
