    • Yes, that’s right. The dynamic range on a DSLR is greater (probably) but not enough to capture the exposure range between the light outside the room and the light inside in the shadows.

      As far as the depth of field (the front-to-back distance that is sharp) is concerned, I’m going to do an article about what factors govern capturing near and far elements in a scene.
