Getting the shot was one of those occasions that called for a bit of balance work. I could only see the stork clearly if I was higher up, so I stood on top of a post that was about four feet tall. It was just big enough for one foot. So after trying to get up and failing a couple of times, I stood there with one foot parked on top of the other, swaying in the breeze and freaking out in case I fell and damaged the camera.
