It’s a metal skeleton, not a real one.
It is part of a display at Edinburgh Zoo to illustrate the similarities and differences in the skeletons of humans and chimpanzees.
One thing I noticed were the pelvic bones on the chimp, which were long spatula shapes lying alongside the trunk rather than the hip bones that we humans have.
How I Made The Image
I shot the image in RAW with an Olympus E-PM1, and after processing it with Adobe Camera Raw in Photoshop, I converted the image to black and white with Nik Software’s Silver Efex Pro 2.
