Project 365 Day 1

owl's face close-up

I decided to join Project 365 – so expect more on the theme of extreme close-ups… 😉

I noticed the little feathers on the side of the owl’s beak before, but doing Project 365 made me wonder what it must be like to be the owl and feel your breath wheeze or whistle or ease past those feathers.

And why have those feathers there? It’s a mystery to me.

  1. Hi I am also participating in Project 365 for 2012. I have added you to my blogroll and look forward to watching your blog all year long. =)

    • He does, doesn’t he.

He is a tiny Burrowing owl you could easily cup in two hands.

To me he’s like a character in a Victorian novel, sulking and muttering ‘humbug!’ to himself.

Of course, to a little rodent he is a big and deadly threat.
